Fatal Ambush in Nasarawa: 3 Soldiers and 2 Vigilantes kill by Gunmen

In Katakpa community of Toto Local Government Area in Nasarawa State on Tuesday, a militia group ambushed soldiers and community vigilantes, resulting in the deaths of three soldiers and two vigilantes.

 The soldiers and vigilantes were on a peace mission to the troubled Katakpa area when the militia attacked, killing five individuals. 

Abdullahi Tashas, the chairman of Toto council, confirmed the incident and casualty count, explaining that the soldiers were deployed to restore peace in the area due to ongoing attacks by the militia.

Following the attack, lawyer Yakubu Galadima urged President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule to enhance security at the northern borders to reduce insecurity across the country.

 Galadima emphasized the importance of proactive measures by the federal and state governments to prevent and control the rising incidents of attacks and breaches of peace nationwide.
