Hadi Sirika, the former aviation minister, revealed that less than N3 billion was spent on the Nigeria Air project.

Reported expenditures of N85 billion on the Nigeria Air project were refuted by the previous minister.
He believes the assertion to be unfounded and false.
He clarified that the majority of the money was spent on personnel, administrative fees, and consultations related to establishing the national carrier.
Due to accusations of fraud and gimmickry from the Senate and House of Representatives, the Nigeria Air project has been dogged by controversy.
