The Academic Staff Union of Universities' National Strike Organizing Committee recently convened to discuss the next steps for the union's ongoing strike, according to The PUNCH.
The committee is composed of prominent union officials.
This is because, according to information obtained by our correspondent, zonal meetings will start by the week's end, after which the branches will hold congresses.
This was revealed to The PUNCH by a member of the union's National Executive Council who asked to remain anonymous since he was not allowed to speak on the subject.
He Said;
“The National Strike Organising Committee will meet today (Wednesday), after which zonal meetings will commence this weekend and then congresses will be held.
“From there, information will be passed to our members on the next development; the president alone cannot decide, there are processes,”
