Popular JayDaYoungan, a 24-year-old US rapper from Louisiana, was shot outside his house in his native state and taken to the hospital after suffering injuries.
On Wednesday, July 27, just bDoefore 6 o'clock in the evening, a call was made to the Bogalusa Police Department reporting a shooting at a residence on Superior Ave., a spokeswoman for the department informed TMZ.
Police reported that one victim was taken to a nearby hospital by someone who was on the site, and that paramedics treated another victim, who was badly injured, before rushing them to the hospital.
The person in critical condition has been named as JayDaYoungan. He was taken in for surgery after suffering severe blood loss.
According to online rumors, the second fatality is a close family member of the musician, possibly his father.
Sadly, JayDaYoungan was pronounced dead hours later.
His Sister Kenya Janell confirmed his death on Instagram with Instagram handle @therealkenyajanelll by writing:
‘Why did y’all do this to my brother why did y’all f*****g do this to my baby man,’ alongside several crying and broken-hearted emoji.
