(40) LATEST IMPORTANT INFORMATION & NOTICE TO ALL NEW STUDENT (FRESHMEN) FOR 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION:

This is an update concerning the 'NEW' clearance method introduced by UNN, Hostel/Off-campus accommodations, Lectures, Transportation to school, Hostel clearance, security of New students, etc. So, If are a new student, Read everything here VERY well & to the end & FOLLOW every instruction Comr. ToJesus has Given to You)
Below are the guidelines for the new clearance.
1. There is new Clearance process introduced by the office of the Registrar, University of Nigeria.
2. The NEW clearance process (method) now is that, EVERY new Student (Freshmen) MUST do both 'ONLINE'& 'MANUAL' clearance.
3. You Will start your clearance with the ONLINE method.
In this Stage, You will just go to any nearby cyber cafe or business centre inside or outside school, log in to UNN website/portal, download SEVEN (7) important documents & print out these Documents.
It will cost You about N1,000 to download & print out the 7 documents.
4. These SEVEN (7) Documents or forms are:
(a)Students Information Form (SIF), (b) Acceptance of offer of Admission and pledge Form,
(c) Letter of Undertaking Form,
(d) Provisional Clearance form,
(e) Checking of Credential form,
(f) Class Admit Card, and
(g) Authority to serve as an admission Letter(form)
5. After downloading & printing out these 7 Forms/documents above, The next thing to do is to buy a WHITE OFFICE FLAT file and put all of them inside it.
6. The NEXT thing to do now is to go for your clearance.
However, Clearance for new students this session will start with what is called 'CONFERENCE CLEARANCE'.
7. In this clearance, (which is scheduled to hold in both campuses between MONDAY, August 2nd, 2021 & August 6 2021), You are expected to Carry these your FILE above & go meet your faculty/clearance officer & submit that File to him or her.
8. If your department is in Nsukka campus, your conference clearance will take place at 'EKPO CONVOCATION ARENA (also known as EKPO REF). Ask anybody you see inside school where is EKPO REF!
NOTE: Those admitted into Faculty of law, Faculty of environmental sciences & faculty of Business administration, The venue for your CONFERENCE clearance this week is in UNEC MAIN HALL.
UNEC MAIN HALL is after UBA bank (if you are driving in from UNEC gate).
9. Once the above CONFERENCE CLEARANCE ends on August 6, 2021, Clearance will continue for all NEW students in their FACULTY BUILDING/OFFICE.
10. When going for your clearance at anytime, (i.e whether in this week of CONFERENCE Clearance or after August 6, 2021), Please make sure that you go with your WASSCE/NECO Scratch card/Pin for the verification of your O/Level Result(s) during your clearance.
Without it, You are wasting your time.
11. If you wish to combine your results during your clearance, Make sure you go with two scratch cards/PINS for the verification of those two different results.
12. If your school DID NOT give your RESULT CHECKER card(s) during your WAEC/NECO days, You can buy (purchase) these cards in business centres inside campus or In any any bank inside/outside campus.
You can Budget N1,000 for each of these cards.
13. As for how or where to download the 7 documents/Forms Online, Just relax and come for your clearance. Your faculty/clearance officer will direct you.
However, The link or icon for downloading it will be activated on UNN portal before End of Monday, August 6 & ToJesus will let you know.
14. So, When you successfully download & submit the (7) Forms/documents you got from UNN portal (online), to your clearance/faculty officer, He/she will go through it & tell you what NEXT to Do.
THIS STAGE BEGINS YOUR STAGE OF YOUR MANUAL OR PHYSICAL CLEARANCE.
15. Other Documents that will be needed by your clearance/faculty officer for your MANUAL CLEARANCE are the ones COMR. TOJESUS have posted in the past for you. They are:
a.) The admission page where your name appeared in,
b.) Your O'level result(s)
c.) A printout of Your JAMB admission status page
d.) Your O'level Result upload page in JAMB CAPS portal
e.) Your birth certificate/Affidavit/Baptismal card,
f.) Your JAMB result slip *(ordinary online printout or original one will be accosted),*
g.) Your POST-UTME result slip,
h.) Your admission Notification slip,
i.) Your School fees payment receipt,
j.) Your LGA letter or state of Origin Certificate,
k.) Your Student profile Update/biodata,
l.) Letter of attestation, And
m.) At least, *12-RED BACKGROUND* passport photographs.
16. Stand on the queue or sit before your clearance officer, with a smiling face & courageous heart😂 and allow your clearance/faculty officer to tell you how you will arrange your documents or give you further instructions.
17. After going through all your documents, Your faculty/clearance officer will give you your 'MATRIC or REG. NO' OR once you are done submitting all the Forms or files he/she will ask you to submit.
18. At this point in time, walk BOLDLY into any business centre or cyber cafe around you and do photocopies (in case you are being told to do one at this point).
19. Bear in mind that, IT IS NOT COMPULSORY that ALL new students (freshmen) will partake in The 'CONFERENCE' Clearance method that will commence this week.Therefore, if you do not have anywhere to stay now for this CONFERENCE type of clearance, or You cannot make it to School this week or you are having other personal issues, You can still do your clearance in the FACULTY BUILDING anytime you come to school.
If anybody tells otherwise in any WhatsApp group, tell the person that Comrade ToJesus said he or she does not deserve to be a guardian to you in your clearance. SHEY U GRAB?
20. Please, bear in mind that, There is NO DEADLINE for doing of clearance. So, You can Do your clearance in this August or By September.
DO NOT SUCCUMB TO UNNECESSARY PRESSURE TO BE IN SCHOOL THIS WEEK
21. Also, There is NO DEADLINE for payment of Acceptance or school fees. So, You can pay these fees later by September or thereabout.
TAKE THINGS EASY
22. My dear, NOBODY will terminate your admission in UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA if You do not do your clearance in this month of August.

23. From all indications, Lectures will start officially for all NEW & old students from 1st week of september, 2021.
(However, ONLY faculty of law MIGHT start lectures before end of August or may decide to wait till September)
24. New & Official date for ORIENTATION of All New students will Be announced by UNN later & Comrade ToJesus Will inform you as usual.
25. If there will be any adjustment on the date of matriculation, Comr. ToJesus will also inform you as usual.
26. If you Must be in School this month of AUGUST for your hostel or admission clearance, Please make sure that You are very SMART, agile, VIGILANT & Do not be too TIMID when you enter campus or make everyone who comes across know that you are a new student or see you as NAIVE or as a JJC or as a confused person.😂
27. If You wish to live (Stay) off-campus, Be very careful of who is helping you to find a lodge, where you are looking for such lodge, whom you are paying the lodge money to, Who are your friends/neighbours, How you talk or move about in such place, what you eat & where you eat, etc.
28. If You are staying outside ENUGU state & your department is in UNN, I will advise you travel down to School with PEACE MASS TRANSIT. Their park is Closer to UNN campus.
If you are going to stay in UNEC, Also come with PEACE MASS or any Other transport company that have park in OLD PARK/HOLYGHOST.
29. Any Day you come down to school for your clearance and happen to arrive late at night, Please Locate any nearby Hotel or guest house & Sleep, then find your way in the morning.
BUT I STILL INSIST THAT YOU MAKE ARRANGEMENT FOR YOUR ACCOMMODATION before you start school to avoid being stranded or frustrated.
30. Please as you get ready to come down to school or as you get ready for this your 1st year in University of Nigeria, Always SHINE YOUR EYES ooo & refuse to be intimidated by anyone for any reason.
30. In case you have any security threat inside campus, at anytime in this your 1st year, just Rush to School Security department.
In NSUKKA Campus, It Is at the School's main gate by left-hand side. In UNEC, Security department is in front of CHAPEL OF REDEMPTION (near UBA bank).
31. Please, If any business centre or cyber cafe operator 'EXTORTS' or collect exorbitant amount of money from you in anyway or in any transaction you have with them during this your clearance periods, Please report such person to Comr. ToJesus by giving him little detail of what happened or such person(s) or place, as much as you can. He will report the matter to the SUG president or to the dean of Student affairs or take it up himself down to the office of the Vice-Chancellor and such dubious person(s) will know that University of Nigeria under the leadership of Our VC (PROF ARINZECHUKWU IGWE) DOES NOT tolerate rubbish.
*32. To know or locate your fellow classmates (course mates) easily, always be BOLD enough to go to your department & ask any student you see, whether he/she has seen anyone in 1st year around. There is likelihood that you will be connected with your classmate(s) or the person you're talking to is your classmate.
33. Do not keep your phones, ATM cards, bags, money or other personal items ANYHOW as you resume school or during your clearance processes.
Keep them in safe places or do not come out with such at all.
34. DO NOT be in a hurry to buy ANY TEXTBOOK for now.
Wait until lectures starts so that your lecturers can tell you what or what not to buy.
DON'T BE DECEIVED BY SOME STUDENTS INTO TEXTBOOKS THAT IS IRRELEVANTVANT TO YOUR COURSE.
35. If You have gotten hostel already, You can do your hostel clearance at anytime. To start your hostel clearance, go to STUDENT AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT & identify yourself as a new student who got hostel. Tell them that you wish to do your clearance. You will be told how to start it.
36. If You were admitted into Medical laboratory sciences, Human Physiology, Radiography, Medical Rehabilitation, Nursing sciences, Molecular bio.. Gini gini gini😂, Human anatomy,* Bear in mind that your clearance will continue in UNEC after 6th August 2021. So, After such clearance, You go back to Nsukka campus & continue your academics till end of 2020/2021 session, when you will cross over to UNEC.
37. If You are a lady & You wish to go to OGIGE MARKET in NSUKKA or HOLYGHOST in Enugu, Always dress decently and don't wear only pant & Bra, to avoid being harassed sexually by some disgruntled elements.
IF YOU LIKE, IGNORE TOJESUS & GO TO MARKET NAKED!
38. Hostel portal Is currently Shutdown for all 1st years. However, It MAY or MAY NOT be opened again for new students.
So, Still be making other ACCOMODATION Plans.
39. JAMB CAPS ISSUE: If your JAMB CAPS is still showing NOT ADMITTED, Please just relax. It will reflect soon. YOU CAN ALSO DO YOUR clearance without your JAMB admission letter. Just be bold enough to tell your clearance officer that You've uploaded everything as directed by the Registrar.
DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO PUT FEAR INTO YOU.
