US First Lady, First Lady Melania Trump has revealed that her 14-year-old son with President Donald Trump tested positive for Coronavirus.
Melania who revealed this in a personal essay in which she narrated her experience battling COVID-19, described her son as a strong teenager who didn't exhibit any symptom.
The US President and first lady also tested positive for Coronavirus as well as other White House staff, but have since recovered.
Melania wrote;
"Naturally, my mind went immediately to our son. Luckily he is a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms".
When asked how his son was doing in the wake of Melania Trump's essay on Wednesday October 14, Trump said Barron is doing "fine". He later called Barron "beautiful" and "free" at a campaign rally in Iowa on Wednesday evening.
Trump said;
"Barron had it for such a short period of time.
"I don't even think he knew he had it, because they're young and their immune systems are strong and they fight it off. 99.9%. And Barron is beautiful and he's free."
As for her symptoms, Melania said they were “minimal” and she hopes to resume her duties as first lady as soon as she can. She said;
“I experienced body aches, a cough and headaches, and felt extremely tired most of the time.
“I chose to go a more natural route in terms of medicine, opting more for vitamins and healthy food.”
