Fresh Tension at Abossey Okai spare part market as Ghanaian traders lock-up Nigerian Shops. Saying that the law of Ghana do not allow foreigner for retail sales.
They said that the major reasons behind the shops lock up are as follows:
The Ghanaian trader were lamenting on unequal trading space as Nigerians bought major space in the area.
They also accused Nigerians of selling substandard goods at cheaper price which adversely affect their business. It was as a result of this grievance that led to the lock up.
The leader of Nigerian Traders Association of Ghana has told Nigerians to resist the attack. With out order from from the Ghana Government i can say this is a form of illegality by Ghanaian traders.
The leader Ghanaian traders Union of Abossey Okai and the Police commander for the area went into a meeting to sort the differences and to bring out a lasting resolution.
