Sudanese Defence Minister dies in Juba




Sudanese Defence Jamal al-Din Omar minister died in Juba Capital of  South Sudan of a heart attack.
According to Sudanese army spokesman, He was suffering from a chronic illness
General al-Din Omar has played a key role in the ongoing peace negotiations between the Sudanese Transitional Government and the armed faction that were part of the unrest in Darfur.
    The minister with full confidence on Monday believed that an agreement with the rebel forces would soon be signed to establish a national army not knowing that death will not allow him to live to see the day this agreement will come to be. 
    Jamal al-Din Omar was a member of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, which took power last year under a 39-month power-sharing deal between the country’s military and the pro-democracy movement that led the uprising against former autocratic President Omar Al Bashir.
